to keep safe while kayaking ,awlways wear a life jacket and have someone who has had expierence around you to look after you.Your responcebility will to look after your kayak and listen to you instructer .The expectations you will need is behavour and ears to listen to what your instructor is saying.You will also need to display your best behaiviour.The things that will not make you achieve this is fones cause you cant take your fone on water while you kayak you might tip lol.the right gear would be alife jacket and togs.
